Sam Miller (WS 2002–09), a first year student at Bath University studying Politics with International Relations, has been selected to play for England Students’ as part of a three-match series.
The team’s first match at Richmond Rugby Club resulted in a 25-23 win over France Universities with Sam scoring one of the three first half tries. However, the team faced a difficult test against Portugal’s national side, who currently rank 20th in the IRB world rankings, finally going down 29-25 after running their hosts close at Estadio Universitario in Lisbon.
A return fixture against France Universities takes place in Versailles on 26 March 2011.
