Andrew Kenneth Self died in hospital in August 2010. He thoroughly enjoyed his time at school and was very active in school life. He was a member of the CCF and regularly attended all the annual summer camps and field exercises, reaching the rank of Cadet Flight Sergeant. He also undertook considerable work for FOWS.

Andrew went on to Loughborough University, where he graduated with a BSc in Computer Science, giving him a good all-round grounding for work in IT. Andrew subsequently worked for a number of companies and completed a graduate training programme with CSC Computer Sciences Corporation.
