David Charles Lamb (WS 1938-47)
Fellow OW John Winterburn writes:
After sixth form studies, David began work for Lloyd’s Bank, Warwick before transferring to the Leamington branch on The Parade, where he remained for the rest of his working life.
It was in Lloyd’s that he met his wife, Yvonne, who only survived him by about a month.
He had two passions in life: the recording of classical music and postage stamps, especially from Andorra. He was a founder member of the Leamington Philatelic Society; when it celebrated its 50th anniversary he was the only founder member present, and he was presented with a stamp magnifier.
