Old Warwickians

Success Stories

The School is immensely grateful to all Old Warwickians who give their time and financial support to enhance the educational experience of the School. We always seek ways to thank our many supporters and involve them fully in the life of the School.

2021 Bursary Appeal

In July 2021 a small group of current pupils and recent leavers contacted our King's High Old Girls and Old Warwickians by telephone. They called to share news of school developments, to find out about experiences at the schools and beyond and to ask for support for our Bursary Appeal.

Whether by sacrifices made by parents, the support of the Direct Grant or Assisted Places schemes or other means, all pupils have attended our schools thanks to the generosity of others. Our current Bursary Fund continues to support pupils from all backgrounds to attend King’s High and Warwick School and to benefit from being part of this community for the rest of their lives.

We are delighted to announce that our recent appeal raised over £100,000 to assist more pupils with bursaries –  thank you to all those who have kindly given and supported the appeal.

It is our ongoing commitment to continue to increase these funds and, to do this, we rely on the financial support of our alumni and friends to create new bursaries for future pupils. Please do get in touch is you are interested in supporting bursaries.

One Campus Plus
In 2018/19 we raised funds as part of the One Campus Plus project which enhanced facilities across Warwick Independent Schools Foundation. Thanks to the generosity of donors we were able to install a 3G rugby pitch.
There are also have plans to add a permanent supporters stand to the pitch.

The Warwick Hall Campaign
In July 2016 we completed a capital appeal to raise £1.1 million to help build Warwick Hall. Over 350 people made gifts to the campaign, sponsoring named stones or major spaces within the new hall.

2014 Anniversary Bursary Appeal
A team of 13 young OWs returned to the School for two weeks in July 2014 to lead our first ever OW telephone appeal. Our aim was to connect with as many former pupils as possible, to update them on news about the School, find out about their time at School, and ask for support of our anniversary bursary appeal. The campaign was highly successful. Our young OW callers managed to speak with 600 other OWs and raised almost £90,000 in new support for bursaries.

Old Warwickian Trust
The Old Warwickian Trust has been set up by the Old Warwickian Association to establish a fund for the support of capital projects and bursaries at Warwick School. The Trust has been incredibly generous in funding two full school places for deserving pupils.

Careers support
Many Old Warwickians have kindly given their time to return to School to speak to current pupils about their careers. OWs have also been very generous in offering work experience and shadowing opportunities, all providing vital guidance for boys at Warwick.
