The David Stooke Memorial Humanities Prize

Link to obituary.

The David Stooke Memorial Humanities Prize has been set up to provide an annual award to a pupil at Warwick School. The aim of this prize is to recognise achievement and endeavour in the broad-based range of Humanities, including Drama, English and art.

Many OWs who fondly remember David's inspirational teaching joined together to establish a fund of £3,500, enabling a £250 award to be made for at least 14 years. The award takes the form of an essay competition for Year 10 to 13 students, who are invited to submit a 1,000-word short story with a blinding twist.
