Wessex Old Warwickians WOW Lunch

Wednesday 25 May 2022

OWs in the Wessex region are warmly invited to join Jimmy Flynn (WS 1967 & 1970-77), Tim Harry (WS 1963-73) and Mike Huntley (WS 1962-69) for the long awaited:

Wessex Old Warwickians Lunch at The Plume of Feathers, Sherborne, DT9 3LN on Weds 25 May 2022
Wives/partners most welcome.

Enjoy a private OW tour of Sherborne Abbey, before a welcome drink and nibbles in the walled garden of The Plume of Feathers, followed by a delicious set lunch with dessert in separate part of the pub, all for £35 a head. Lunch wine and drinks at the table to be bought and paid for separately on the day. Donations to the Abbey after the tour gratefully received.

11:00 Sherborne Abbey tour
12:30 Welcome drinks in The Plume of Feathers garden
13:00 Lunch in a private dining room at The Plume of Feathers.

The Plume is a traditional 16th century pub opposite the Abbey, serving the very untraditional Italian small plate food, some of the best Italian food you’ll find locally. Each table is served a selection of dishes to share in no particular order as the dishes will arrive when they’re ready. The set menu will cover all of this and more! Expect to see seasonal Italian & West-country ingredients used to make the authentic, occasionally quirky, Italian home-made dishes. All the pasta, bread and sauces are made in house on a daily basis. It also provides an unparalleled experience for those who have dietary requirements with numerous options for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs.

Jimmy, Tim and Michael have had to suffer endless trials and tastings at the Plume to make sure it'll be good enough for you all and it would be lovely to see you there. We do hope you are able to come.

Parking in Sherborne can be tricky and the Plume has no car park of its own. Nearby there is on-street parking limited to two hours or a long-stay car park called Culverhayes (DT9 3ED) where you can park all day for £2.80, and it’s only a six-minute walk. The best way to travel is by train as the Abbey is only a three-minute walk from the station.

Places must be pre-booked. Please email if you would like to come.
